1. What IDShot is
IDShot is a browser-based tool that resizes and reformats a photograph you provide so that it matches the published specifications of a travel or identity document. It is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government, embassy, consulate or issuing authority.
2. No guarantee of acceptance
We take the published measurements seriously and target the middle of every permitted range. However, whether a photograph is accepted depends on factors outside our control — your pose, expression, lighting, clothing, headwear, glasses, the freshness of the photo and the discretion of the reviewing officer. IDShot is provided on an "as is" basis without a warranty that any particular application will succeed. Our refund policy exists precisely because we cannot promise this.
3. Your content
You keep every right in the photographs you use. Because processing happens on your device, we never receive a licence to your images — we could not use them even if we wanted to. You are responsible for having the right to use any photograph you process, including photographs of other people.
4. Payment and licence
The one-time fee unlocks watermark-free downloads in the browser where you paid. It is a personal licence for you and your household. Reselling IDShot output as a photo service, or redistributing the unlock token, is not permitted.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use IDShot to create photographs intended to deceive an identity check — for example, images of a person other than the applicant, or manipulated likenesses. Doing so is a criminal offence in most jurisdictions.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of IDShot is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for consequential losses such as missed flights, delayed applications or re-application fees.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
